Chris Kang, M.D., MBA | Corporate Medical Director

Dr. Kang is a seasoned physician and Hospitalist with over 20 years of practice experience. After completing his medical school training in Seoul, Korea, Dr. Kang completed his Internal Medicine Residency training at St. Luke’s Hospital through the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Kang practiced Internal Medicine as a primary care physician for 12 years before joining IMI as a Hospitalist in 1999. In 2001 Kang was named Medical Director for IMI as a result of his outstanding achievements as a Hospitalist and his demonstrated leadership in improving all aspects of the Hospitalist clinical services.In his expanded role, Dr. Kang provides clinical program design and Hospitalist training and development for the implementation of start-up Hospitalist clinical services. Dr. Kang believes his remaining a practicing Hospitalist is key to his ability to provide guidance and clinical services oversight to IMI Hospitalists through practice improvement and best practices identification and implementation. Dr. Kang is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, is a member of the American College of Physicians, the Society of Hospital Medicine and the St. Louis Hospitalist Society. Dr. Kang received his MBA from Washington University in St. Louis, MO.
