Angie Groeteke is a skilled certified nurse case manager with
over 10 years case management experience. Groeteke led the design
and implementation of the IMI on-site Nurse Director of Hospitalist
Operations model. Prior to joining IMI in 1999, Groeteke served
as case manager for United HealthCare of the Midwest and then as
the Director of Case Management for The St. Louis Medical Group,
a 150-physician primary care practice operating under Medicare
Risk products for United HealthCare, Group Health Plan (Coventry),
and Aetna. Groeteke’s responsibilities at IMI include providing
leadership to IMI’s On-Site Nurse Directors; supervising
case management for each Hospitalist program; assisting in managed
care contracting; monitoring physician practice patterns to ensure
efficient utilization; assisting the Nurse Directors in developing
and implementing marketing plans; and providing support for the
development and implementation of program operational policies
and procedures. Groeteke received her nursing degree from Deaconess
College of Nursing in St. Louis, Missouri in 1985. She is a member
of the St. Louis Case Managers Association, the St. Louis Hospitalist
Association, and the Society of Hospital Medicine.
